Hole # 1
The journey begins on the 426-yard dogleg left par-4.
The player can see the entire hole from the classic rectangular
tee boxes positioned amongst the native dune plantings.
An angled fairway allows the player to challenge the left
side, thus setting up the unobstructed entry into this
medium-sized green.
Hole
# 2
A 398-yard short par-4. Challenge the cross bunker on
the right to obtain the best view into this smallish elevated
green. Miss the green short left on your approach and
you’re facing a most difficult bunker shot. Good
luck!
Hole
# 3
Falling oaks. This medium length par-3 is nestled in an
oak tree hammock. The dominant obstruction to making a
good score on this beautiful hole is the arching oak tree
that leans across the line of play. A high ball trajectory
on the tee shot is vital to carry the oak if the player
intends to make a birdie two.
Hole
# 4
Open it up on this medium length 564-yard par-5. Again,
the best angle off the tee is a close play near the pond.
Stripe the second shot right of the green for an easy
flip wedge to a small undulated green. Get too close to
the greenside bunker on the left, and it’s “all
she wrote.”
Hole
# 5
Don’t try to steer your tee shot on this snug little
par-4. Best advice is to put away the big stick and play conservatively
down the middle with a long iron. Beware of the “Rossian”
bunker short left, it’s a fooler. Hole
# 6
“A diamond in the trees” - #6 is a breath-taking
medium to short 172-yard par-3. From the high green, looking
through the trees, the player can capture a spectacular
view of the Intracoastal Waterway located across a beautiful
tidal marsh.
Hole
# 7
A medium length 464-yard par-4. The tee shot is set back
in the trees and opens to a wide fairway. A long, well-placed
tee shot up the right side will provide the player with
the best angle in to avoid the deep bunker left of the green.
Hole
# 8
A short par-4 at 352 yards. This dogleg right requires the
player to carry a wetland off the tee to a generous landing
area. The second shot requires a well-placed short iron
in order to hold the small green.
Hole
# 9
From the elevated tee of this 578-yard par-5 the player
is able to see the Village Center and clubhouse area above
the green. Challenge the cross bunker on your tee shot for
the best angle into the green. Pull it left and you’re
wet. Bail right and you will no doubt find one of many bunkers.
Good luck! May be the time for a cold one!
Hole
# 10
Trouble left, trouble right. Better hit your drive long
and straight on this 476-yard par-4. The low open green
allows the player to knock it down and run it on this long
and narrow green.
Hole
# 11
Pick your poison. The
ideal tee shot is between the water left and the pot bunker
right. A well-executed second shot into this smallish green
is required for any chance at birdie.
Hole
# 12
From the elevated tees of this 220-yard par-3 the player
is able to get a glimpse of the large undulated green surface
that is protected by a fortress of deep bunkers. Hit this
green and you have done well.
Hole
# 13
This 534-yard par-5 dogleg left requires a slight draw off
the tee to reach the optimum angle for your second and third
shots. The green opens up from the left side of the hole.
Anything right and your approach must contend with a large
mound and accompanying bunker. Hole
# 14
A stunning 173-yard par-3. Bail out right and you’re
gonna pay – guaranteed.
Hole
# 15
Nail your tee short up the
right side of the fairway on this medium to long par-4. Carry
the cross shelf and you’ll be rewarded with a favorable
bounce forward, anything short will require an extraordinary
recovery shot. The green is protected by a bunker left and
another grassy shelf right. Take your par if you’re
lucky and move on. Hole
# 16
The “signature” hole. A gently sweeping
446-yard par-4 with trouble right the entire hole. Plenty
of room to the left along the magnificent oak trees that
frame the hole beautifully. The low open green allows the
player to knock it down and run it on. Very picturesque
setting with an awesome view to the Intracoastal Waterway
from the green. Don’t be overwhelmed by its beauty
or you may wind up with a bogey or worse.
Hole
# 17
This medium length par-4 plays out of a chute created by
the magnificent oak tree canopies. The hole opens up with
water left and a minefield of hidden pot bunkers and grassy
hammocks on the right. The green is protected by two bunkers
right. A tee shot near the water will leave the player with
an open approach to the green.
Hole
# 18
This long par-5 at 546 yards is dotted with strategically
placed bunkers. Precise, accurate shots are needed on this
classic finishing hole in order to reach the green. Patience
and clear thinking will be rewarded. Time to relax, reflect
and to add ‘em up and perhaps “settle”
up. |
